This is a film process, where a thick clear film is cut from a bulk roll by computer to the exact shape of the body panel being treated, the panel is cleaned of any wax or protectants, and the film is applied to the surface. We do not remove any body panels. Installation uses no chemicals or abrasive tools. The solution we use to position the film is a mixture of water and baby shampoo, occasionally a light mix of common rubbing alcohol and water is used to accelerate the adhesion for extreme body contours. This process does not harm or damage the vehicle finish. On occasion some streaking results on adjoining body panels, this is almost always a result of the solution removing wax or detailing solutions. Simply re-applying the beautification solution by you at the next cleaning will clear that up.
Drying time
Your new film will take about 30 days to fully cure. Until this time your PPF may appear hazy or lumpy, and it may seem to have water bubbles. Do not try to remove any of these imperfections and do not machine detail or scrutinize the films until dry!
Cleaning
3M Paint
Protection film may be cleaned with normal cleaning and detailing solutions. Do NOT use abrasives or
harsh chemicals. We recommend a plastic specific cleaner.
