2016 Toyota RAV4 Will Be 8th Toyota Hybrid
When it comes to hybrid automobiles, the first automaker consumers think of tends to be Toyota, if only because the Prius has been the gold standard for such automobiles for well over a decade and remains the best-selling hybrid in the history of the automobile. However, Toyota is much more diverse in its hybrid offerings now than it was fifteen years ago, as evidenced by its massive product line that soon will feature a whopping eight hybrid cars and SUVs, with the refreshed 2016 Toyota RAV4 serving as the most recent Toyota model to offer the environmentally-friendly drivetrain option.
Thanks to the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive, which has been one of the most respected hybrid drivetrains in the industry for years and years, the new RAV4 should be just as seamless and smooth as the other Toyota hybrid models that have come before it. In fact, in some ways the driving experience is even more enjoyable in the new hybrid version of this vehicle than the outgoing standard gas engine RAV4, as the hybrid can bolt from zero-to-60 mph in only 8.1 seconds, almost a full second quicker than its year-old gas counterpart.
Another really nice feature of this upcoming hybrid vehicle is the availability of different driving modes that appeal to different types of drivers or different types of journeys. An ECO mode, for example, optimizes certain features for minimal energy use, while an EV model allows the vehicle to travel on pure electric power for reasonable distances.
We here at Charlesglen Toyota are extremely excited about the forthcoming new Toyota hybrid version of the RAV4, and we're optimistic that it will go a long way toward keeping Toyota among the best in automotive hybrids.
