2015 Toyota RAV4 Shows Big Numbers In February
It is no easy task to sell vehicles in the coldest, most depressing months of winter, but some vehicles transcend the ill effects of ice and snow and continue to find their ways home with customers regardless of the weather. In February of 2015, for example, North American sales of Toyota were among the strongest of any auto brand in the industry, with models like the 2015 Toyota RAV4, 2015 Toyota Camry and 2015 Corolla helping to lead the way.
The RAV4, our best-selling crossover offering, saw a massive jump in sales over February of 2014, with a 33.4% boost in sales over the same month's total last year. That number, as well as the 25.3% year-to-date increase over 2014, were both the top gains of any vehicle in the top ten best-selling automobiles in February. In other words, the RAV4 is just about as hot as any vehicle we've got right now, and it gets closer and closer every month to being the best-selling crossover in the country. In fact, it fell fewer than 350 models short of taking that crown just this past month.
Overall, the RAV4 was 9th last month in total unit sales, topped by the Corolla (6th) and Camry (3rd), according to Cars.com. Toyota was, in fact, the only automaker to boast three models among those top ten, proving that even through chilly weather here inCalgary, Toyota service still has been as good as ever. With better weather slowly moving in, however, we expect Toyota models to fly off our lot at an even faster clip. With great models like the RAV4, Camry and Corolla, how could they not?
