Toyota Models Among Most Likely to Hit 200K Miles

While there are plenty of consumers in the world today that are perfectly happy buying a new automobile, only to trade it out for an even newer automobile every 2-3 years of their lives in perpetuity, there is a whole other group of buyers that purchase a model from their friendly neighborhood Toyota dealer with every intention of owning it for 8-12 years, or even longer.

For those drivers, it is of the utmost importance that a model stay healthy and operational for as long as possible, and while some of that falls on how responsibly the driver sticks to the suggested maintenance schedule, there also is some truth to the idea that certain models are simply more reliable in the long term than others.

Toyota recently proved this with four of their vehicles featured among the top ten most likely to make it to 200,000 miles, assembled according to data provided by iSeeCars.com. According to this list, the Toyota 4Runner (#3 on the list), Toyota Sequoia (#5), Toyota Avalon (#9), and Toyota Tacoma (#10) all offer exceptionally high chances of reaching the prestigious and relatively exclusive 200,000-mile club.

According to the data, 5.2% of all Toyota 4Runner models have made it to 200,000 miles, while 4.8% of Toyota Sequoia models, 2.7% of Toyota Avalon models, and 2.5% of Toyota Tacoma models also have gotten there.

In Calgary, Toyota trucks, SUVs, and sedans like these often are purchased with longevity in mind because Toyota has done a fine job establishing itself as a reliable automaker across the globe. Numbers like these prove that they remain reliable well beyond what most consumers expect, to the point that they have proven to be some of the longest-lasting automobiles in Canada. Here at Charlesglen Toyota, we know that, and we take pride in selling vehicles that hold up so well to the test of time.
