Toyota Ranks As The Top Global Brand Among Automakers
Considering Toyota sells more automobiles than any other automaker on the face of the planet, it should come as no surprise that they also are, officially, the most valuable auto brand on the face of the planet, at least according to Interbrand, which listed Toyota as the top-ranking automaker in the world on their 2015 "Best Global Brands" annual report.
Interbrand figures their rankings simply by establishing how much each brand actually is worth and then putting them all into order by dollar amount. This year, thanks in large part to Toyota producing twelve completely new and recently-refreshed automobiles, the respected automaker saw a boost of 16% in value, a record for them and more than enough to push them all the way to the 6th overall best global brand, up from the 8th spot just a year ago.
"Making guests our top priority, Toyota has done a better job than ever this year of delivering exciting new, ever-better products with exceptional styling, performance and value," said Jack Hollis, group vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. "Toyota's rise and continued improvement on Interbrand's Best Global Brands ranking reflects our guests' trust in the efforts of our dedicated dealers and team members."
The Prius, Tacoma, RAV4, Land Cruiser and Avalon all were either refreshed or given a generational upgrade over the course of the last year, while the redesigned Camry is still the best-selling sedan currently in existence. With these efforts, Toyota is seeing continued success and obviously that growth suggests that there's no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Toyota must have their eyes on the top slot, but they've got a ways to go. At least this year shows they're heading in the right direction, and here in Calgary, Toyota trucks, cars and SUVs sold at Charlesglen Toyota will go toward the cause!
