Toyota Updates New RAV4 Hybrid
It seems like only yesterday when the Toyota Prius was the only real hybrid option available for Canadian consumers in favor of conserving fuel, but a lot has changed over the course of the last fifteen years and there are now more hybrid and all-electric models available than ever before.
Now, following this month's New York Auto Show, those consumers will have a completely updated Toyota hybrid offering in the 2016 Toyota RAV4, which has received a complete styling upgrade and a whole slew of new technologies.
As your Toyota dealer, we're excited about the prospect of an updated RAV4 hybrid, especially after seeing the thing. It now looks considerably more aggressive, with reshaped lights and grilles, and that aggressive new look is certainly going to draw new eyes to this beloved Toyota crossover.
Inside, Toyota is now using higher-quality materials, an extra USB port in the front and taller cupholders, while advanced safety features like lane departure warning, pre-collision breaking and a Bird's Eye View Monitor also are now available in the new Toyota Safety Sense suite of safety features.
Best of all, however, is the fuel efficiency, which comes courtesy of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that teams up with an electric motor to churn out 176 hp and some very nice EPA numbers.
It's a very exciting new package that shows just how far hybrids have come from the early days of the Prius. Those are still great, too, by the way, but for customers considering new options, this is without question a very good one.
