All the models in this category embrace excellent craftsmanship that results in an optimized performance with a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The well-engineered hybrid system of Toyota comes with many advantages like:

  • It works automatically in the background without you having to worry about fuel efficiency and how you drive.
  • It covers an extensive drive range on a single charge without the need to plug it in time and again.

How Toyota’s Hybrid System Works?

1. Starting Up: In most driving and road conditions, only the electric motor is engaged to save fuel and deliver instant torque with limited emissions.

2. Accelerating and Cruising: Both the gas engine and electric motor work in sync to provide extra power for smooth acceleration. The excess energy is used to recharge the battery.

3. Decelerating and Braking: The built-in regenerative braking system converts braking energy into electric energy to recharge the battery on the go.

4. Resting and Reversing: In the resting mode, the gas engine stops working to conserve fuel, which depends on the battery charge level. Even when you reverse at low speed, only the electric motor operates.
